Opus 1

Opus 1: Genesis

The Book of Genesis

Opus 1 walks the Book of Genesis from the first light of creation to the death of Joseph, in 31 songs. It moves through awe, judgment, grief and redemption: the void breaking into light, the garden and the fall, the flood and the rainbow, Babel, the promise to Abraham, Jacob’s ladder and his night of wrestling, and Joseph’s road from the pit to Pharaoh’s court.

The sound is symphonic metal with Christian rock notes: big choirs, orchestral builds and singable choruses, with a low choir as the voice of God. Every lyric is original and based on the King James Version, and each song credits the chapters it draws on.
